Welcome to 4 Runners Only!
My name is Steve Bennett and I am the owner
of 4 Runners Only. I opened this running
specialty store 11 years ago in June of 1999.
I wanted a store that specifically catered to
runners because that is my passion and I
want to share my love of running with others.

I was not always a runner. I played basketball
and softball on our church team and in
recreational leagues. When my children
began playing sports I coached their t-ball
and softball teams through middle and high
school. When my daughter was a freshman,
she joined the cross country team. I ran with
her at the first practice and it was then that I
became hooked.

I soon joined the Twin City Track Club and began running with local groups to
increase my speed and endurance. I ran some local 5K races and then
moved up to 10K and half marathons. My ultimate goal was to run a
marathon and since 1992, when I began running, I have completed 32
marathons. My PR is 3:07 at the Country Music Marathon in Nashville.
But my two most memorable marathons were the two races I ran with my
daughter. We finished side-by-side at the 2002 San Diego Rock & Roll
Marathon and the 2005 Marine Corps Marathon in Washington D.C.
